Dear Colleagues,
The 3rd International Symposium on Neglected Influenza Viruses will be held at the University of Georgia Conference Center in Athens, GA USA, 15 – 17 April 2015 immediately following the 9th International Symposium on Avian Influenza, which will be held at the same venue 12 – 15 April, 2015. This conference will retain the format, and build on the success of the first two symposiums held in Florida in 2010 and Dublin in 2013. It will explore the latest data on surveillance and disease investigation, virus transmission and control, clinical and experimental virology, plus emerging issues and new developments related to swine, equine, canine and other nonhuman / nonavian influenza viruses. NEW to this Symposium – Science ‘Speed Dating’, an IRD workshop and an expert panel discussion on news, views, and funding of Neglected Influenza Viruses, from government and industry representatives.
Abstracts are invited for original papers in areas related to research in the field of mammalian influenza viruses from nonhuman / nonavian sources, for oral and poster presentation.
Abstracts can be submitted here and the deadline for abstract submission has been extended to 1 March 2015.
Travel awards may be available for junior investigators.
Registration is open and Early Bird registration will close on 15 March 2015.
